Akiane’s art has been in many exhibitions. She has been inducted into the Kids Hall of Fame, and is the author of two books "Akiane: Her Life, Her Art, Her Poetry" and "My Dream is Bigger than I - Memories of Tomorrow." Akiane was selected as 1 of 20 most accomplished visual artists in the world by Tribute Entertainment. Akiane’s artworks sell for upwards of one hundred thousand dollars. She sold her first painting at the age of eight for $10,000. The paintings are often created in conjunction with her poems. The depth and imagery of her poetry rivals that of a laureate and their meanings at times resound with prophecy. “I have been blessed by God. And if I’m blessed, there is one reason and one reason only, and that is to help others,” claims Akiane. Completely self-taught, Akiane explains, “He teaches me to paint.” Most of her time is spent painting and writing about her spiritual experiences; Akiane still remains innocently unaffected by the public recognition. Instead, she chooses to focus on her life’s vision: to share God’s love with the world. My Sight Cannot Wait For Me – Age 7 I cannot stop holding my brush On the blank canvas I sign With blindfolded balance I paint my own eyes Blue is the color of the mind Do God’s footprints follow his footsteps Nobody hears what I see We cannot trespass our Creator My Sight can not wait for me. -Akiane For more information about future exhibitions, visit or call: Spirit at Work Books, 710 N. Our guest is already earning a lot of money for her work and she is only 9. We discovered Akiane Kramarik in a small town in Idaho…” World News Tonight with Peter Jennings/ABC “Akiane is a gifted and seasoned artist who is totally focused on her work. She is a renowned prodigy in the art world!”
Adapted from an article by Denise Macgregor In giclee printing, no screen or other mechanical devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern. The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting. Giclee (pronounced Gee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer works. However, it is not the same as a standard desktop inkjet printer, and is much larger. Giclee prints are a little over a metre wide and are often affectionately referred to as a “knitting machine” as they look very similar. Do Giclee printers use ordinary printers inks? If the image is larger, or cannot be taken off the stretcher frames, then a large format transparency must be taken of the piece, and this is then scanned. This works well, but you must factor in the cost of the professional photograph, and the additional time it takes. What kind of printing paper is used for Giclee prints?
